Belief Statement of Faith
In one eternal God, existing in three persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and without error.
In the deity of Jesus Christ. The shedding of His blood to atone for the sin of all mankind.
His resurrection and ascension to heaven to intercede on our behalf and His return to earth in power and glory.
Man was created in the image of God and sin separated him from God. Alienation from God can be removed through faith alone in God’s gift of salvation.
The power of the Holy Spirit is necessary to overcome our sinful nature and to live in a renewed life in Christ.
Homosexuality (whether in practice or identity) as well as other sexual addictions, is direct rebellion against God’s plan for mankind, and is therefore sin.
However, we equally believe in the redemptive power of Christ for all sinners.
TENETS OF FAITH
We believe that both Old and New Testaments constitute the divinely inspired word of God, inerrant in the originals.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the God, became man without ceasing to be God, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.
We believe that salvation is a gift of God who brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the lord Jesus Christ, whose atoning blood was shed on the cross for the forgiveness of sin.
We believe that the Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgement and to regenerate, sanctify, comfort and seal those who believe in Jesus Christ.
We believe in the water baptism of believers, symbolizing the believer’s union in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We believe in the observance of the Lord’s Supper commemorating the sacrifice of our Savior for all mankind.
We believe the life of the believer is to be separated from the world by consistent conduct before God and man, and is to be in the world as a life-giving light.
We believe in the personal and visible and bodily return on the Lord Jesus Christ.
